Encounter is a cruising Folkboat built in the UK in 1986 by D C Blake and sons. She is good condition having been well maintained. A copy of the 2018 survey is available. Encounter does not have a spartan interior, in fact her accommodation is both comfortable and well appointed. She has just been re painted in Awl gripped by Dart Haven and is looking superb who also serviced the rudder bushes, new antifoul by Darthaven. The original engine has been replaced with a modern Beta 14hp with only 180 hrs use. The engine drives a Brunton feathering propeller. All control lines have been led aft to the cockpit and she can be sailed single handed. Encounter has beaching legs and by separate negotiation a substantial cradle
